Great article! I'm trying to help separate work from personal life on my own - but also trying to help coach others to do the same. With regards to email - do you have any tips and/or tricks to separate work from personal emails other than to just ignore one or the other or to disable notifications? I like handling emails (primarily coupons, etc.) as they come in because it's less stress when I go to "work" but I love the idea that work emails (non-TX roadhouse coupons) might wait until I'm on the clock.

I loved that book! And yes, the assumption that people need to be able to contact you at any hour of the day is ridiculous. People have lives outside of work! :)

Thanks for stopping by man!

Good stuff. I know what you mean about the laptop and the couch. It the was the source of many fights between me and my ex girlfriend. When you do that you're not present. I was reading Felix Dennis' book "How to Get Rich" and he makes it really difficult for people to get in touch with him and the guy is worth a fortune.
